Grego Musical Puppets:  The show

A family oriented fork arts cabaret.
Live music and simultaneous puppet performance
in a tradition-soaked but uniquely original
one-man variety show.

The Puppets

It all started with the limberjack. The clogging folk toy from Appalachia is a percussion instrument, but also a puppet. So that became a theme for the original Grego creations that followed.
The zombie spiders, lots, you know, like zombies do
Mazja, the world’s smallest one-man-band
Mocha, the mischievous gibbon ape and mad drummer
The accordion playing leprechaun

The Instruments

Tabor pipe: a one-hand flute
Octave flute: one with no finger holes
Bones: one of the oldest types of instruments in the world
Psaltery: medieval roots, 33 strings to pluck and bow, this one haas eight arms and a face
Acoustic tenor Stumpfiddle: that monstrocity in the photo with the ape
Harmonicas: toot toot
And a whole bunch of noise toys, because why not!

The show

This is a culturally nutritious series of puppet/object theater vignettes, with toe-tapping music from various ages, for people of all ages.
A celebration of imagination.

Grego Musical Puppets is now based in Japan, and performing internationally.
